By booking and paying for our classes you are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions below:
COVID 19 Policy
If you or anyone in your household is experiencing COVID symptoms or you have tested positive, please DO NOT attend class.
If you become unwell or test positive for COVID 19 please contact us as soon as possible as we may need to inform other group members.
Please ensure you maintain social distancing and ensure your hands are cleaned before class and afterwards, please feel free to use hand sanitiser provided.
As classes are outdoor there is no legal requirement to wear a mask HOWEVER if you would rather then please do so for the group sections of the class.
By booking you give us permission to pass on your details to Test & Trace service as required
One adult to accompany one child or two siblings – we cannot accept more than one adult per booking due to limited numbers.
Equipment sharing, we won’t be sharing equipment. Please bring your own mat to class, a blanket/mat for baby if necessary. If you have a resistance band for buggy beat session please bring them to class with you also. Please bring you own drink or bring a hot drink in a flask for Nature Children or Tree Babies.
Each activity will have separate resources and equipment, which will be cleaned and sanitised thoroughly before each session.
Unless stipulated as being part of the session, we ask that participants bring their own snacks and drinks.
Staff will maintain a 2 metre distance from participants. In the event that this is not possible, for eg. When administering first aid or assisting with a task, staff will ensure that they use personal protective equipment in the form of gloves, masks.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your class time. Please adhere to social distancing. This includes responsibility for your baby. Please limit the amount of personal belongings you bring to class.
A NHS track and trace QR code will be provided at the session.
Responsibility at sessions:
The adult accompanying your child will be responsible for their supervision at all times during the session and any of your own kit which is brought to the sessions.
Insurance and Qualifications
Yes the sessions are risk assessed to meet health and safety standards. I am fully insured and have full public liability insurance which covers Steph’s Active Adventures sessions in partnership with South Ribble Council for all requirements for our sessions.
Steph’s Active Adventures is run by Steph who is a fully qualified Early Years Professional, Pre and Postnatal Fitness and Exercise to Music Instructor.
Steph is a fully qualified baby and child paediatric first aider and has an enhanced DBS check.
Social Media
On booking you will fill in a consent form to the session you require, please indicate whether your child can appear or cannot appear on social media.
You are permitted to take your own photos of you and your children where suitable but please ensure you respect the rights of other parents and babies when doing so and ensure that you have their consent if they are in your images.
Weather
As with the UK the weather is unpredictable. The sessions are all outdoor and will go ahead unless the weather is deemed unsafe to do so by the organisers/venue. This will include high winds and lightning but DOES NOT include rain.
The location of classes is outdoor in nature and is therefore ever changing. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure you attend in suitable clothing and footwear for you and your child. Good footwear is essential and waterproof outerwear recommended for you and baby/toddler.
General
Steph’s Active Adventures is an inclusive class for all. It is an open, judgement free space for everyone attending.
Your property and belongings, which you bring to class, are your responsibility. We shall not be responsible for any loss of, or damage to, such property.
Respectfully enjoy the wellness of your presence in the natural surroundings of our venues. We operate a ‘leave no trace’ policy. Please ensure you take any rubbish with you and respect the natural surroundings we have been gifted with.
Payments
Sessions are booked in block bookings and all dates and times of sessions are provided on the website. Payments are collected when booking of the sessions online.
Refund Policy
If our services are delayed by an outside factor, such as dangerous weather, then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and will take steps to minimise the effect of this. These steps may include offering rescheduled dates for such classes. Please note classes will still go ahead in rain, as this is not deemed dangerous weather. Provided we are able to offer rescheduled dates, we will not be liable for the delay in our services therefore a refund will not be available.
If you miss your session and were unable to attend due to illness, we will make all efforts to try and offer an alternative session if one is available with space.
A refund will only be given if the session is cancelled by Steph’s Active Adventures.
First Aid
There will be a full first aid kit at all our sessions with accident report forms if needed.
However, if a child was to have an Epilepsy seizure which was to last for over 5 minutes, we would automatically ring 999 for an ambulance.
Please bring appropriate inhalers or Eli pens to session.
Baby wearing
Our Tree Babies sessions is a baby wearing/carrying class, it is the parents/caregivers responsibility to ensure a suitable and correctly fitting sling/carrier is used and that baby wearing is practised at home first.
Tree Babies is all about switching off. Use of your mobile phone is not encouraged during sessions so please be aware of suitable times to use it for photo purposes.
